Mechanical Engineering · University of Toronto

My love for engineering and design started with LEGO but didn't end there! I’m a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student and National Scholarship recipient at the University of Toronto, pursuing minors in Robotics & Mechatronics and Engineering Business. I’m interested in building hardware for robotics and sustainability.

When I'm not engineering, you can find me on the mountains!

Experience

Mechanical Engineering Intern

Research & Advanced Development Team
May–August 2026, Burnaby, BC
  • Built design tools with Codex to automate thermal analysis workflows, reducing time to the first design iteration by 40%.
  • Optimized heatsinks and venting in SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation, reducing a product’s temperature by 3°C under natural convection.

Cell Design Engineer Intern

September 2025–April 2026, Fremont, CA
  • Owned a project addressing a process-induced failure mode, coordinating input and buy-in from 10+ engineers across teams.
  • Developed criteria for novel cell technology for a VP review and a cost-modelling approach for cell architecture decisions.
  • Used ANSYS, physical trials, tolerance stackups, and JMP analysis to inform cell tolerance limits with precision to tens of microns.

Battery Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

May–August 2025, Palo Alto, CA
  • Modelled battery concepts in CATIA, 3D printed prototypes, and ran trials to evaluate the designs.
  • Designed a scaled-down, 3D-printable module tote with adjustable cell counts for potting and seal trials.
  • Developed a simplified fatigue test to assess current collector durability before pack-level vibration tests.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

May–August 2024, Burnaby, BC
  • Designed, built, and tested a Peltier cooling setup for RF testing, including its mechanical assembly and wiring.
  • Created full LNB product assembly drawings and instructions in SOLIDWORKS.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

May–August 2023, Burnaby, BC
  • Calculated design specifications and wrote a successful client proposal with projected engineering costs of $50k+.
  • Designed a glycol cooling system to dissipate 30 kW from generator bearings, sizing the heat exchanger, tanks, and pumps using thermal and pressure-drop analysis.
